Project description DVAG My App Motion Design
In recent years, more and more typographic elements have been used in 2D animation. This process is called matchmoving or motion tracking. Real camera images are supplemented by headlines or catchwords placed in the room. These typo animations emphasize key messages in the video and are great because they create interactions between people and objects in the frame. This opens up new insights, conclusions or findings for the recipient. For example, when invisible information is made visible. A distinction is made between 2D animation and 3D animation.
2D animated trackings lie flat on the real images. This can be infographics, head up displays (HUD), belly bands, icons, logos etc.
3D tracking is more complex to implement. They are baked into the real image elements and act like a part of the original image world. This could be, for example, writing on a wall, on the roof of a house, or on any moving object in the real image. What makes this form of tracking so realistic is that it adapts to camera and object movements.
