Why a hotel video pays for itself

The comparison that carries the investment is not video against photography. It is video against booking platform commission.

Every booking through a platform costs commission, and it costs it again on every single booking. A film is paid for once and then keeps working on your website, in your newsletter and across your social channels. The more guests book direct, the sooner the production has paid for itself.

Spaces that have to work on camera

Lobby, rooms, spa and restaurant each need different lighting and different movement. We plan that before the shooting day.

Documentary instead of glossy

Hotel videos tend to look interchangeable: empty rooms, a sunrise, a couple by the pool. Those images say nothing about the property, which is exactly why they are forgettable.

We film documentary style. That means with your people, while the property operates, without staged scenes. It takes more time on site and delivers material that fits only your house.

If guests are to appear on camera, we obtain written consent in advance. That belongs in the preparation, not in the middle of a shoot.

How the shoot runs

Four steps, planned around your operation.

1
First call

We clarify the property, the audience and what the film has to deliver, usually in twenty minutes.

2
Shooting plan

We align room occupancy, service times and contacts so the operation keeps running.

3
Shooting days

We work with a small crew and quiet equipment while the property is open.

4
Delivery

Main film plus every agreed format variant for your website and social channels.

Frequently asked questions

Will the shoot disturb our guests?

We work with a small crew and quiet equipment and schedule around your service times. We usually need a room for one or two hours only.

Do guests have to appear on camera?

No. If guests are to feature, we collect written consent beforehand. Otherwise we shoot so that no guest is identifiable.

How many shooting days do we need?

One to two days for a classic hotel film. A brand portrait with staff interviews needs more, because interviews take time.

Do we get vertical formats for social media?

Yes. We plan the formats from the start rather than cropping a landscape edit afterwards. The difference is visible.

Is aerial footage included?

From the brand portrait upwards, yes. It can be added to smaller packages where the airspace at your location allows it.

Can the material be re-edited seasonally?

Yes, and it is designed for that. One shoot yields several versions across the year without another shooting day.
