Not every event needs the same film. The difference lies less in the occasion than in the question of who sees the result and when.

Trade fair film: stand operation and interviews

On an exhibition ground you work against the conditions. The halls are loud, the light is mixed, and the neighbouring stand is still being built while your first conversation is already running. We bring our own lighting and wireless audio so that interviews at the stand stay intelligible.

Filming permits on the grounds of Messe Frankfurt need lead time. We obtain them and the fees are part of the package price.

One day at a trade fair rarely produces only one film. The usual outcome is a trade fair report for the website and short formats for LinkedIn, plus footage that reappears in next year’s stand communication.

Congress and conference film: keynotes, panels and the breaks

With stage programmes the number of cameras decides whether the film can be edited at all. One camera on the wide shot delivers a recording. Two deliver a film. With panels, speaker changes do not work in the edit without a second angle.

The breaks are underestimated. For many organisers the conversations between the blocks are the actual value of the congress, and they cannot be staged afterwards.

If the event is also to run live, a separate vision mixing setup comes in and the line is checked in advance. We plan that as an extension and not as an add-on on the shooting day.

Aftermovie: 72 hours after the closing words

An aftermovie has an expiry date. Anyone who sends it out three weeks later reaches people who have long since filed the event away. That is why we deliver it within 72 hours on request, edited during the night after the event.

This only works if it is agreed beforehand. The edit suite has to be blocked, and the shoot runs differently when everyone knows from the start that editing begins the next morning.

The detailed main film follows after seven days as usual. Social cuts in vertical and square format come from the same material but are taken into account during the shoot.

Trade show appearances have their own set of rules. The halls are noisy, the lighting is inconsistent, and filming permits on the Messe Frankfurt grounds require advance planning. We’re familiar with the procedures and bring our own lighting and wireless systems so that interviews at the booth remain clear even when setup is taking place right next door.

We’re just as familiar with Kap Europa, the Jahrhunderthalle, the Congress Center, and Klassikstadt. From our location in Wiesbaden, we can be there in about 30 minutes—even on short notice.

How soon can you schedule an appointment?

If the date is available, even with just a few days’ notice. It’s especially worth giving us a call in the fourth quarter. If you call instead of writing, you’ll get an answer right away.

What happens if the event lasts longer than planned?

We bill overtime at the agreed-upon hourly rate. We don’t go home in the middle of the awards ceremony.

Will we get some photos, too?

Yes, if requested. We’ll bring an additional person for this, because it’s not possible for the same person to handle both photography and videography at the same time and maintain the same level of quality.

Who owns the recordings?

To you. You will receive the rights of use for all agreed-upon channels for an indefinite period. We will provide the raw material upon request.

Will you also be streaming the event live?

Yes. We offer a livestream with direction, graphic overlays, and dedicated production as an add-on to the conference package.

Do you also work outside of Frankfurt?

No travel fees throughout the entire Rhine-Main region: Wiesbaden, Mainz, Darmstadt, Offenbach, Hanau. Additionally, throughout Germany by arrangement.

How much lead time do you need?

Ten days is the normal case. That leaves time for the running order, the filming permit and a technical check beforehand. Shorter notice works if the day is free.

What applies if we have to cancel?

Free of charge up to ten days before the shooting day. After that we charge half, and from 48 hours before the start the full amount. Moving the date is different from cancelling: a replacement date within six months costs no extra, provided it is free with us.

How long do you keep the raw footage?

Five years. If you later need a different version or a single scene for a new film, the material is still with us.

Do you handle the filming permit at Messe Frankfurt?

Yes, and the fees are part of the package price. We only need the hall and stand number and your contact person at the organiser.

What is included in the fixed price?

Camera, lighting and sound equipment, post-production and travel within the Rhine-Main region. You receive a flat price and not an estimate with open items.

How many cameras do we need?

One is enough for a documentary without a stage programme. As soon as speeches, awards or panels are involved you need two, otherwise the recording cannot be saved in the edit. From three cameras a vision mixing setup is added.

Do we get formats for social media?

Yes, in vertical and square format. They are taken into account during the shoot and not cropped out of the long version afterwards, which would leave heads at the edge of the frame.

Do you work with your own equipment?

Yes. Cameras, lenses, lighting, wireless audio and drones belong to us. That keeps us independent of rental dates when something changes at short notice on the shooting day.

Do you also cover photography?

Yes. A photographer can join the shoot for half a day or the full day. You receive edited images, usually within a week, plus a small selection the same evening if something has to go out the next morning. Booking film and stills separately means two crews travelling in and two different visual styles. From one team, both match.

Can you provide an editor for the interviews?

Yes, and with interviews we recommend it. The editor prepares the questions, runs the conversations and guides your speakers through the appointment. That is what decides later whether a soundbite survives the edit. Without an editor someone from your own team usually asks the questions. That works, but it costs more footage and more time in the edit.
